After last year’s change of regime in
           Afghanistan,  its  central  bank  Da
           Afgha  nistan  Bank,  had  to  play  a
           crucial role to maintain the banking
           and    financial   system   of
           Afghanistan.  Hence,  there  was  an
           imminent need for training courses
           focused on the practical aspects of
           central banking on a strategic and
           operational level. Therefore, on the
           exclusive  request  of  DAB,  NIBAF
           chalked out a comprehensive plan
           for  the  training  of  Afghan  central
           bankers,  and  the  following  two
           programs  were  conducted  at
           NIBAF   Islamabad   during   the
           preceding quarter:

           Five-day program on Trade Based
           Money  Laundering  and  AML/CFT
           Compliance   for   Non-Banking
           Financial  Institutions  conducted
           from May 16-20, 2022.

           Three-day  Succession  Planning
           and Career Development program
           conducted from June 6-7, 2022.     conducted the program from June     banking  sector,  cryptocurrencies
                                              8-10,  2022  at  Islamabad  campus   and SBP’s stance in the matter. A
                                              for  District  /Additional  District  &   dedicated  session  on  the  Foreign
                                              Sessions  Judges  from  Islamabad   Exchange   Regime   was   also
                                              Judicial  Service.  The  SBP  team   included  with  detailed  discussion
                                              shared  insights  on  legal  and    on important provisions of Foreign
                                              regulatory   framework   for   the   Exchange  Regulations  Act,  1947
                                              recovery  of  advances,  Private    and  SBP’s  Foreign  Exchange
                                              Credit  Bureaus,  electronic  Credit   Manual.  On last day of the training
           NIBAF   designed   a   three-day   Information  Bureau,  overview  of   program,  Mr.  Justice(R)  Sarmad
           training  program  for  District  and   SBP’s  AML/CFT  regulations,  and   Osmany-Chief  Legal  Advisor,  SBP
           Banking Court Judges to familiarize   role of SBP and Banking Mohtasib   interacted  with  the  participants  to
           them  with  the  legal  &  regulatory   in  customer  complaint  handling   highlight  issues  and  challenges
           framework   of   SBP-regulated     and  dispute  resolution.  Detailed   faced by judiciary and commercial
           entities.  Teams  from  Banking    sessions  were  also  conducted  on   banks  related  to  litigation  of
           Policy and Regulations Department   recent technological innovations in   different banking matters.
           (BPRD)   and   Legal   Services    payment systems, key initiatives of
           Department   (LSD)   of   SBP      SBP  to  promote  digitization in  the
