Islamic Banking Department covered second session on Regulatory

framework. Islamic Banking awareness session for University Students
of Sialkot was arranged on June 28, 2021, which was attended by 101

students/faculty members. Qazi Abdul Samad covered the first session
on the basic concepts of Islamic Banking whereas Farid Khan, JD,
Islamic Banking Department covered second session on Regulatory
framework.

During these sessions, the students were briefed about the following:

▪ Main Principles of Islamic Economics and Shariah
▪ Basic Concepts of Islamic Banking
▪ Comparison on Conventional Vs Islamic Banking
▪ Regulatory Framework
▪ Constitutional Provision for Islamic Banking
▪ Role of SBP
▪ Shariah Compliance Framework

The presentations were followed by Q&A sessions wherein the trainers
responded to the queries and questions from the participants.
