Financial Literacy for 6-8 years
The project team is putting its best efforts to impart essential
financial education to Pakistani school-going children (6-8
years) for strengthening their money management skills and
enhance their understanding of financial matters that will
contribute towards the prosperity of the nation in the long run.
Under this objective, NFLP-Y has partnered with the
management of Army Public School (APS) who highly
appreciated the initiative and extended support to facilitate in
reaching out to the target audience through their campuses.
Thus far, 23,000 students have been trained in 68 campuses of
APS in 23 districts including Khuzdar, Quetta, D.I.Khan,
Bahawalpur, Okara, Multan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Islamabad,
lahore, Kharian, Kasure, Peshawar, Kohat, Sialkot, Zafarwal,
Chawinda, Pasrur, Gujranwala, karachi, Malir, Hyderabad,
Badin and Abbottabad.
Primary, Secondary and Higher Level Beaconhouse School System has also joined in the initiative.

In this regard several Curriculum Experts, Subject Experts,
HODs, Professors, Lecturers and Financial Literacy
Consultants worked together to finalize a proficient training
manual for teachers. This manual shall facilitate public and
private sector teachers of primary, secondary and higher
education levels as they further deliver financial literacy
training to their students. Training of Teachers have been
successfully conducted for the targeted number of 700
teachers of all three levels from all over Pakistan in
collaboration with PAFEC for primary/secondary and for
higher Level with MANTECH&ARC.
These trained teachers shall conduct training sessions in
their respective schools, colleges and universities to train
students on the Financial Literacy content being developed
as a pilot activity. The purpose of the pilot is to evaluate the
impact of the content and response of all levels of the
educational sector in order to include financial literacy
content a part of their curriculum and course content. Till
date more than 50 thousand students has been trained at all
the three levels by the trained teachers on financial literacy
module and soon the set target of 90,000 is expected to be
achieved successfully.
PAFEC in collaboration with NIBAF also started an advocacy
Campaign to promote and spread awareness financial
literacy content integration. This campaign is based on
coverage of all mediums for awareness among general
community with regards to efforts of SBP in the area.
graphical posts highlighting importance of financial literacy
are shared on social media platforms and public services
messages are broadcasted on radio channel FM 101 and
FM 93 across all provinces of the country.
