        Program for Youth (NFLP-Y)

National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF) has launched National Fi-
nancial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y). Basic aim of the program is to
impart essential financial education to Pakistani youth and school going children
for strengthening their money management skills and understanding of finan-
cial matters. NFLP-Y is expected to serve as a medium to connect youth with
financial institutions that offer banking products and services. The program will
mainly target three age groups (School going Children-age 9-12 years; Ado-
lescent - age 13-17 years; Youth – age 18-29 years) across 45 selected districts
of Pakistan including GB & AJK. NIBAF aims at reaching out to 1.6 million
children, adolescents and youth through classroom trainings and digital learning
        platform during next five years i.e. 2018 – 2023.
        The program objectives are:
l To strengthen and improve money management knowledge, skills and be-
            haviors among youth.
l Inspire the youth to set financial goals through saving, budgeting and plan-
            ning for their future.
l Educate the youth about their rights and responsibilities as consumers of
            financial services and products.
Till now NFLP-Y Project has conducted 6,338 training sessions in ten districts
through which 284,023 students were trained. After March 2020, NFLP-Y was
not able to conduct face to face trainings because of COVID-19 pandemic. All
educational institutes across Pakistan are still close because of precautionary
        measures.
NFLP-Y launched its eLearning Portal and Mobile Game (PomPak-Learn To
Earn) on 25th March 2020. In a space of just 3 months it crossed 70,000 app
downloads. So far more than 78,000 learners registered on NFLP-Y portal. The
initiative received a tremendous response from National Media, more than 50
news provider agencies so far have written about our online learning manage-
        ment system
