Training Matters!
Young Professionals Induction
Program – YPIP-8
The 12 weeks training ‘Young Professionals Induction Program -(YPIP-8)’ success-
fully concluded at NIBAF Islamabad. In order to enhance the effectiveness of YPIP
training program, NIBAF added number of experiential based learning activities to
assess behavioral competence of individual participant including panel discussion,
Debate, Scenario analysis and Game-based team building activities. These activities
were evaluated by a team of trainers/assessors from NIBAF.
Apart from class room based training sessions, trainees were also involved in extracur-
ricular activities including preparing closing publication report, participation in dif-
ferent sports games. As part of extracurricular activities, “YPIP-8 SPORTS GALA”
was held wherein trainees participated with high level of enthusiasm in games such as
Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess and Snooker. Moreover, Futsal Tournament was also
arranged for the trainees.
The 12-weeks training also included working/exposure visits including NIFT, SBP-
BSC Islamabad, SBP-BSC Rawalpindi, Hiking Mushkpuri-Nathiagali, Water Sports
Club-Mangala Dam and Rohtas Fort.
The performance of trainees was evaluated throughout the program by conducting
end-of-module tests, quizzes, assignments, exercises, presentations and group work.
In addition to these, trainees were also evaluated by NIBAF independent assessors
during activity based learning. Also trainees were evaluated on Behavioral competen-
cies. At the end of the program, a Comprehensive Examination covering all modules
was also conducted.
Participants of the training programs were also encouraged to undertake creative
writing. Trainees compiled ‘The Closing Publication’ that was the collection of cre-
ative work contributed by participants, the closing publication was presented to Chief
Guest, in the closing ceremony.
