as a main trainer since it started. In my view after attending different international trainings, IBCC is one of
the best available course in limited time due to its content and selection of Trainers including best Sharia
           Scholars and Professionals.

Every course of NIBAF has different type of experiences but I have great memories of a trip to Bosnia
accompanied by my respected friend Sardar Shah Sahib. It was the first IBCC outside Pakistan. We conducted
the course in Bosnia capital, Sarajevo. In that combination, the class was unique. Second I got a chance to
convert a main part of whole course in nine days only. I still find those days the best memories with NIBAF.

          Training Matter!
What impact do you think IBCC and FIBO trainings have had
on the growth and improved services in Islamic Banking ?

No doubt, it has a very positive impact on the attitude of trainees/participants and in developing their firm
commitment for the Islamic banking industry. We can see in rare cases where any NIBAF trained staff
engaged in Islamic banking, moved again to conventional banking by his/her choice. I remember one of the
NIBAF trained, he complained for working in conventional side though he had attended the NIBAF course. So
this course definitely enhances the dedication of the participant for Islamic banking which in result improves
the Islamic Banking services for the general public.

          Training Matter!
Do you see any change in the perception of the general
public over the last two decades towards Islamic banking ?

Recently, Islamic Banking is facing quite a few challenges and one of them is operational risk and awareness.
IBCC has a great impact to mitigate operational risk in Islamic Banking and preparation of work force who
played pivotal role in growth of IFIS. Due to dual banking system in the country with more or less same end
results, it is sometimes difficult for general public to understand the changes between Islamic & Conventional
banking. But the efforts made by the central bank and other commercial banks for Islamic banking awareness
in general public through seminars and workshops are admirable and now acceptability for Islamic banking
in general public of the country is rising year by year and considerably increased in last two decades. Islamic
banking industry acquired 15% share in the market.

          Training Matter!
How do you think Islamic Banking can help achieve national
financial inclusion targets? What specific steps would you suggest ?

Financial inclusion especially for relatively unregulated parts of the financial system is one of the most
important agenda for the welfare of the society. Islamic banks definitely have different products and channels
to contribute in the target with better results as different micro financing banks are doing. Agriculture & Halal
food are the neglected areas where Islamic banking can play a vital role.

          Training Matter!
Most banks have their own training academies as well. Do you think the trainings NIBAF is imparting
has had better impact or are the bank academies doing a better job? How can each improve ?

Both are beneficial and contributing for the industry. Internal training in the banks is an ongoing process for
the staff of the bank which gradually enhances the capacity of the staff while trainings at NIBAF has its own
