Seminar for International Islamic
University
NIBAF organized a face to face seminar for
the students and faculty of International
Islamic University on December 30, 3021,
on the topic of “Why Pakistan is on FATF
grey list? What actions have been taken so
far by Pakistan?” which was attended by
372 students. Mr. Shahid Iqbal highlighted
the role of FATF in global AML/CFT/CPF
framework and so far actions taken by
Pakistan both on Technical and
Effectiveness parameters to come out of
the grey list.
Online session for banks on
Asset/Liability Management
The financial crises underscored the
significance of Asset-Liability Management
(ALM) and the need to equip bankers with
advanced tools in ALM planning and risk
management in the banking book. In order
to build necessary skills, Mr. Muhammad
Hasnain Yousaf, Joint Director, SBP who
possess a rich work experience in the
International Markets and Investment
Division of SBP shared his expertise on
dealing with ALM Challenges in banks in
the online session conducted on the
subject on Nov 04, 2021.
Awareness/Sensitization session
on Financial Inclusion for Persons
with Disabilities
Soon after the unveiling of SBP’s
comprehensive policy to enhance financial
inclusion of persons with disabilities
(PWDs), NIBAF launched a series of
training programs on the topic through its
various campuses. The online session
conducted on December 23, 2021 was
hosted by NIBAF-Islamabad. Mr. Shahid
Iqbal highlighted physical and psychologic
barriers faced by persons with disabilities
and discussed the SBP guidelines and
best international practices for financial
sector to promote equitable financial
inclusion of persons with disabilities.
