Reaping popularity in the earlier 21 century, the
foundation of contemporary case method of teach-
ing was laid by The Harvard Business School and

now has become one of the important experiential
learning tools of choice. NIBAF, being a renowned
learning & development institution reckons the sig-
nificance of the case method in the construction of
knowledge and enriching the learning experience of
participants. With the go ahead from NIBAF Board’s
Training & HR Committee and subsequent MoUs
with partner institutions, the designated team at
NIBAF initiated the process of case studies develop-
ment.

The journey that spanned around a year or so, com-
prised of the internal capacity building, field work
encompassing wide range of data collection tools,
review of records and published data from both
demand and supply sides. This followed the overar-
ching case writing process and expert review for
quality assurance of the developed cases. The efforts
eventually transformed into comprehensive indige-
nous case studies based on real-world interventions

pertinent to our banking industry.
